Are sports stars positive role models
I am here today to argue the point that supports stars are positive role models. I believe that this motion one hundred percent depends on the athlete in question as athletes all have different personalities like us.
There are many decent, respectable and fair athletes in all sports but there are just as many vein unfriendly athletes. Having said this, i do believe there is one positive characteristic that all sports stars share regardless of their personalities.
This characteristic that all athletes share is determination and courage. All these elite players realised they had a talent and pursued this talent and improved their skills until they reached the place where they could live off something they love.
I do believe that this can give young people a false sense of security. Children believe that it is far easier to reach this level of stardom than in reality it is. This can lure young people to pursue careers in sports that they realistically aren't good enough to make good money out of.
I believe that the athletes whom are decent people are great role models for young people to look up to. For example the Spanish football player Juan mata who proposed a condition for all footballers. This condition was that 1% of their salaries must be donated to a charity of their choice.
Christian Ronaldo also flew overseas to visit a fan whos arm he had broke accidentally when the ball from one of his strayed free kicks entered the crowd.
In conclusion sports stars are good role models in my opinion but their careers can be misleading. Thank you all for your time.
