Leadership skills
In leadership skills we studied impressive leaders, the good characteristics of good leader and good speeches. We learnt that there are many more different types of leaders than just political leaders. A leader could be anywhere. A company CEO is a leader, a sports captain or coach is a leader even a teacher is a leader. We were assigned a PowerPoint project where we compared great leaders in our opinions to Nelson Mandela. I chose Martin Luther King Jr for my project. I thought the project was very interesting and I am happy with the way it turned out. Overall, I enjoyed this module.
Art Appreciation
In Art Appreciation we studied a lot of Georgian architecture in old buildings in Ireland. We studied a lot of different building features, we learned about the history of the buildings and the families that lived in them and about how to recognise the inspiration for the architecture. The project we were assigned was a fun project to do. We picked an artist or a group of artists and wrote about their life and work. I picked Vincent Van Gogh as I thought he was a very interesting man. I didn't think I'd enjoy this module but I ended up finding it quite interesting.
IT
IT was one of the more relaxed modules. In IT we were helped with our blog and the other technological aspects of our daily school life. IT was a useful module to have at the beginning of the year because we got our blogs up and running very quickly and easily.
